WELCOME! is a charity concert that will be held on April 23, 2017 in support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The lineup includes artists such as Zedd, Daya, Halsey, and others.
Background[]
Following the issue of a travel ban by United States President Donald Trump in January 2017, Zedd tweeted at Sia, Camila Cabello, Grimes, and Macklemore, saying they should "come together" and put on a show to support the ACLU.[2] On January 30, he posted that the benefit show was "going to happen" and told those interested to contact him if they wanted to participate.[3] He reaffirmed this on February 1 along with an announcement that the location, date, and Phase 1 lineup would be announced the following day.[4]
The show will be all-ages and all proceeds from it will go to support the ACLU.
